The Calming Program for Sensitivity

For skin that flares with every season change and never quite settles. It works by what it leaves out. No acids, no vitamin C, no retinol, no exfoliation — four steps and a mask, run the same way every day until your skin stops reacting.

Mornings are water-only.

No cleanser, no actives — sensitive skin doesn't need washing twice a day, and most of the redness we see is caused by doing exactly that.

Is this your skin?

Redness across the cheeks and nose that never fully settles. New products sting, even ones marketed as gentle. Skin flares every time the weather turns, or after heat — a hot room, wine, a workout. You've over-exfoliated and it hasn't been the same since, or you've tried a lot of things and stopped trusting any of them.

What's deliberately left out.

No acids or exfoliants, no vitamin C, no retinol, no EGF ampoules, no rollers or home devices, and nothing fragrance-forward layered between the four steps. If you're already using any of these, stop for two weeks before you start, then reintroduce one at a time only once your skin has gone quiet.

The first three weeks.

Week 1: four steps only, no mask — patch test the serum first if anything has stung you recently. Week 2: add the mask, Wednesday and Saturday. Week 3: judge it now — most people see the flush settle and the tightness go, and that's the point to come in and talk about what gets added next.

Stop the routine if

Stinging lasts beyond the first minute, or redness gets worse rather than better across a full week. That isn't an adjustment period — it's a reaction. If you've had a procedure in the last two weeks, wait, or come in first.

Sunscreen is not optional here.

Reactive skin flushes at sun and heat before it flushes at anything you apply. A mineral-leaning SPF as the last morning step does more for redness than most calming serums do.

Add these later, one at a time.

Only once your skin has been calm for a full month, and never two in the same fortnight: a wash-off mask for flare weeks, a cleansing milk if you wear makeup, or extra hydration under the cream through winter.
